91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Announces New President-Elect and Leadership
Washington, D.C.—A new American Society for Microbiology (91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ) President-Elect and a member of the 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Board of Directors have been elected to 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ leadership. Terms of all new members of 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ’s Board of Directors will begin on July 1, 2026. These leaders will play a pivotal role in guiding the Society’s mission to promote and advance the microbial sciences.
President-Elect:
Federico Sisti, Ph.D., Investigator, Institute of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology (IBBM) of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET). 
At-Large Board Director:
Michelle Dziejman, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of Rochester Medical Center.
