- Vaccines, Immunology and Prevention.
- Antimicrobials and Therapeutics.
- Clinical Infectious Disease and Management.
- Public Health, Surveillance and Systems.
- Microbiomes and Ecosystems Health.
- General submission.

The submission portal will be open during the periods below:
- Early abstracts: Nov. 12—Dec. 2, 2 p.m. ET.
- Regular Abstracts: Dec. 3—Jan. 21 2 p.m. ET.
Scientific Content Requirements for 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Health Meeting Abstracts
- Data must be objectively gathered, analyzed and reported; conclusions must be supported by results.
- Abstracts must demonstrate scientific rigor, including transparency in design, methodology, data collection, analysis and interpretation.
- When applicable, include details on sample size, randomization, blinding and replication.
- Include producing organism, purification steps, physical/chemical characterization, structures, MICs and ED50 values.
- A chemical structure or literature reference must be provided; abstracts without defined structures should be submitted to the 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Mechanism Discovery Meeting.
Review & Selection
Abstracts are evaluated based on:- Originality: novelty, innovation or advancement of knowledge.
- Scientific merit and importance: relevance and potential impact on the field.
- Research design and analysis: clarity, rigor and appropriateness of methods.
- Conclusions: strength and justification based on data.
- Quality of presentation: clarity, adherence to instructions and language quality.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Chatbots or Large Language Models (LLMs)
Authors are required to disclose any use of AI tools (e.g., for language editing, data analysis or content generation). AI or LLMs cannot be credited as authors. All submitted work must be original. The use of AI-generated content is prohibited unless it's reviewed and verified by the authors for accuracy and appropriateness. Content that lacks sufficient human oversight and validation will not be accepted.
Decisions of the program committee are final. Abstracts submitted under the "Oral or Poster’" presentation preference are not guaranteed an oral presentation assignment. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be assigned as posters.
Case Study Submissions Open Soon
91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Microbe 2026 will also feature case studies presented by participants in the 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Health Meeting program. We invite all participants to submit case studies for consideration, with priority given to medical technologists and trainees (for example, students, pathology residents or infectious disease fellows).
Those chosen will receive mentorship from an invited speaker and will present their case study to peers during a 10–15-minute presentation. Please note that the selection decision is final and cannot be appealed.
All submitted cases must adhere to HIPAA guidelines, including the removal of any identifying information. Submissions that fail to comply will be disqualified.
