- Early Abstracts: Nov. 12—Dec. 2, 2 p.m. ET.
- Regular Abstracts: Dec. 3—Jan. 21 2 p.m. ET.
Scientific Content Requirements for The 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Mechanism Discovery Meeting Abstracts
- The reason for the study or how the study came about (e.g. hypothesis, discovery or central question) should be clearly stated.
- The objective and experimental design should be briefly detailed.
- Data must be objectively gathered, analyzed and reported.
- Conclusion(s) or inferences should be made and supported by data. The study does not need to be fully complete, and preliminary results and conclusions are acceptable.
- Scientific presentations at 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ Microbe 2026 will be expected to transparently report a study’s scientific rigor.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Chatbots or Large Language Models (LLMs)
Authors are required to disclose any use of AI tools (e.g., for language editing, data analysis or content generation). AI or LLMs cannot be credited as authors. All submitted work must be original. The use of AI-generated content is prohibited unless it's reviewed and verified by the authors for accuracy and appropriateness. Content that lacks sufficient human oversight and validation will not be accepted.
Decisions of the program committee are final. Abstracts submitted under the ‘Oral or Poster’ presentation preference are not guaranteed an oral presentation assignment. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be assigned as posters.
